THE THREAD is my new series: Mara, Madame Lozere and Lisa inhabit a story of spells, garments and obedience, set in a world made entirely of textiles. Cities are stitched together, forests have fabric leaves, ravens have embroidered feathers. Even seemingly lifeless things have small tremors, hesitations, intentions. I wanted to bring the camera so close to the material that it becomes unfamiliar. A thread under tension, a pulsing seam, two embroidered eyes turning a moment after we pass. That’s where the mystery begins. I’ve worked obsessively on prompting for Seedance. By now, I feel I know all its secrets: its peculiar understanding of movement, the instructions that make a gesture believable, the precision needed to carry an action across several shots. That knowledge has become part of how I direct. The same obsession extends to space. Using GPT Image 2.5, I developed a system of isometric spatial simulations to establish the architecture of this world: how rooms connect, where characters stand, what the camera can see—or deliberately hide. Every close-up belongs to a larger, coherent space. From there, I worked sequence by sequence: fleeting material details, perfectly symmetrical compositions, obstructed views, slow camera movements that reveal something we weren’t supposed to see. Even within the impossible, a hand, a glance, a lock of hair must remain consistent from one shot to the next. The soundtrack belongs to the objects themselves: rustling silk, wings, footsteps, breathing. It takes very little for a room to become frightening. Midnight Wolf is a short film about isolation, transformation, and the thin line between control and instinct. Set on New Year’s Eve in a cold modernist villa surrounded by snow, it follows a woman who withdraws from the noise of celebration into a space of silence, tension, and metamorphosis. As the night unfolds, her solitude becomes something darker and more necessary. The transformation at the center of the film is not only physical, but symbolic: a passage from vulnerability to feral clarity, from restraint to survival. By morning, the supernatural has already entered the ordinary. What remains is not fear or regret, but the calm, lucid aftermath of what had to happen.
